Betty Morton Powell (born "Elizabeth Shipton" on 17th October 1903 in Pontypridd, Wales; died 24th April 1991 in Marple) appeared on Coronation Street in June 1963 as a customer at Miami Modes.
The wife of Street regular Arthur Leslie, this was almost her only television role in a long career which was exclusively on stage, quite often in theatre companies which also employed her husband. Their son, Tony Broughton, also appeared in several roles on the programme.
