Bernard Wrigley (born 25th February 1948 in Farnworth, Bolton) appeared on Coronation Street in six roles:
- Would-be club comic Gig Prince in both May 1975 and April 1976
- The chauffeur who collected Stan and Hilda Ogden and took them to a hotel for their second honeymoon in November 1977
- Harry, the corner shop's breadman, appearing intermittently between February 1980 and March 1983
- Mr Shaw in May 1991
- Stan Waller, a friend of Don Brennan in October 1996
- Reverend Marvin Winstanley in March 1999.
His career began in the late 1960s as a singer and storyteller - predominantly performing in folk clubs, with Wilf Darlington, and Gary and Vera Aspey, although his acting career started around the same time.
Other television credits include roles in Mersey Pirate, Crown Court, Emmerdale, Soul Music, Dinnerladies, Heartbeat, Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, In with the Flynns and Ackley Bridge.
His books of frivolous one-verse poems, Shorts For All Occasions and The Longs & The Shorts Of It were published in 2006 and 2008 respectively.
