Benjamin "Ben" Driscoll is the landlord of the Rovers Return, father of Ollie and Will and son of Maggie.
In 2025, Maggie helped Ben buy the Rovers for his partner Eva Price and moved into the pub with the couple to protect her investment.
Biography[]
Ben Driscoll was raised in Ireland by his mother, Maggie. He played rugby union professionally, and considered the day he played the final at Twickenham the proudest of his life. At some point, he had two sons, Ollie and Will, and by 2025 he had been retired from rugby with a shoulder injury and was living in Hull with his partner Eva Price and stepdaughter Susie.
In October of that year, Ben bought the Rovers Return Inn from Carla Connor as a surprise for Eva after kidding her on that he was looking at The Flying Horse for her to run. With his finances not as secure as he had hoped, he had to turn to Maggie - no fan of Eva's - for the funds which meant that his mother also landed on them when they moved in, intending to be anything but a silent partner.
A man quite capable of protecting his family through force, he made his presence felt when within a day of his arrival on the street, he threatened Carl Webster after hearing that he may have been behind Ollie being charged by the police for being in an accident in a car which had previously had a dodgy MOT.
