Barbara Young (born 9th February 1931 in Brighouse, West Riding of Yorkshire, died 27th April 2023 in Cambridge), played four roles in Coronation Street:
- Club hostess Betty Ridgeway in July and August 1961
- Dorothy Stockwell in February 1982
- Barbara Platt, mother of Martin Platt who appeared in September and October 1991
- Retired exotic dancer Doreen Fenwick between February and December 2007.
She also had a recurring role in the first season of the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression, as Pam Plummer in 1965.
With an acting CV dating back to the early 1960s, credits include roles in Bootsy and Snudge, Emergency-Ward 10, Armchair Thriller, Dr. Kildare, Nearest and Dearest, Crown Court, Hazell, Dempsey and Makepiece, Lovejoy, Casualty, Cracker, The Bill, Family Affairs, Midsomer Murders, Doctors, Last of the Summer Wine, Holby City and Hollyoaks.
Her daughter, actress Cory Pulman, herself appeared on Coronation Street.
