Arthur Hewlett (born Southampton, 12th March 1907, died London, 25th February 1997) appeared in Coronation Street in July 1965 as Mr Spiderwick.

His television career began in the late 1940s and he appeared in many programmes including BBC Sunday-Night Theatre, The Grove Family, Quatermass and the Pit, The Avengers, The Odd Man. The Saint, No Hiding Place, Castle Haven, Emmerdale Farm, Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color , Crown Court, The Black Adder, Doctor Who and Screen Two.

Film roles include Reach for Glory, One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing and Personal Services.
