Anthony Wingate appeared in Coronation Street on four separate occasions:
- A drummer who as part of a four-piece band, performed at Jerry and Myra Booth's wedding reception in October 1963
- Supermarket manager Mr. Woodhouse in January 1979
- Defence barrister Mr Lewis, representing Alan Bradley in October 1989
- A pub customer at The Queens in August 1993.
His other credits include The Villains, The Liver Birds, Crown Court, Brookside, Truckers and Emmerdale along with the films Haunted: The Ferryman and The Virgin of Liverpool.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Rollo and Don Carols at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.
