Anne Kidd (born 4th October 1947 in Paisley, Scotland) appeared on Coronation Street in November 1969 as a female ward nurse who looked after the street residents who were admitted to hospital following the coach crash on the way back from the Lake District.

In a career spanning over five decades, some of her other television credits include The Revenue Men, Softly Softly, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, The Love School, Angels, The Legend of King Arthur, Take the High Road, Dramarama, Tutti Frutti, Taggart, Monarch of the Glen, Happy Hollidays, Shetland, One of Us and Vigil, along with film roles in Crystal Gazing, Gregory's Two Girls, The Jacket, Red Road, Despite the Falling Snow and The Last Bus.

On stage, she has appeared in productions of Cyrano de Bergerac, The Country Wife, Blithe Spirit, Androcles and the Lion, Mother Courage and her Children, Candida, Absurd Person Singular, The Hollow and Cinderella.
