Ann McManus held several scripting positions on Coronation Street from January 1996 to September 1998. They were initially a storyliner (then termed a "story associate") for 182 episodes, then variously a story editor for 97 episodes including 20 episodes in the unique role at that time of deputy story editor to Paul Marquess, the similarly unique role of story/script editor for 184 episodes and finally the role of just script editor for another 20 episodes.
