Andy Bradford (born 7th September 1944) is a stuntman and actor who first appeared in Coronation Street in April 1993 as one of the two Armed Robbers who committed a hold-up at Bettabuy.
Following this, from March 1997 to January 1999, he was a regular stunt coordinator and fight arranger on the programme in the following instances:
- Gerry Turner's attempt to run over Liz McDonald in Episode 4156 (9th March 1997) and the fight sequence between Gerry and Jim McDonald in the following episode.
- A fight between Steve and Andy McDonald with a man in a pub in Episode 4172 (6th April 1997).
- Don Brennan's attempt to kill Alma Baldwin by driving his taxi into Weatherfield Quays in Episode 4179 (18th April 1997) and Episode 4180 (20th April 1997).
- A fight between Steve McDonald and Alan McKenna in Episode 4268 (21st September 1997).
- A fight between Sally Webster and Natalie Horrocks in Episode 4269 (22nd September 1997).
- Ken Barlow's fall through the ceiling of 5 Coronation Street in Episode 4289 (27th October 1997).
- Zoe Tattersall's jump into Weatherfield Canal in Episode 4400 (10th May 1998).
- Mike Baldwin's near miss in his car of Jim McDonald in Episode 4429 (29th June 1998).
- A fight between Gary Mallett and Ben Andrews in Episode 4525 (14th December 1998).
- Greg Kelly's attack on Sally Webster in Episode 4534 (30th December 1998) and Episode 4535 (1st January 1999).
His acting career dates back to the 1960s with appearances in Dixon of Dock Green, Z Cars, Crown Court, The Professionals, Shoestring, Smiley's People, Dempsey and Makepeace, All Quiet on the Preston Front, The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes and The Bill. Film appearances include The Family Way, Flash Gordon and Sid and Nancy.
His extensive other stunt work includes Blake's 7, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, several James Bond films, The Princess Bride, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Minder, The Crow Road, Ashes to Ashes, Hustle and the original Star Wars film.
