Andrew Readman (born 7th June 1948 in Folkestone) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Detective Constable Jack Cannon, the investigating officer when Steve McDonald was arrested and ultimately charged with handling stolen goods, appearing intermittently between December 1995 and April 1996
- Ed Ramsey, boss of Newton & Ridley rep Dan Jones, who appeared in July 2015
- The consultant overseeing Jack Webster's care when he was admitted to Weatherfield General with sepsis in July 2018
- The judge presiding over Yasmeen Metcalfe's hearing at Weatherfield Crown Court in June 2020 and her subsequent trial in December of the same year.
His other credits include roles in Airline, C.A.T.S. Eyes, Streets Apart, Kinsey, Medics, Cracker, City Central, Retrace, Burnside, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Casualty, Outlaws, Casualty 1907, Casualty 1909, Doctors, Accused, Fearless, A Kind of Spark and Passenger, along with the films 101 Dalmatians, The Mark of Cain, Tales of the Creeping Death and Three Day Millionaire.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Henry V, The Merchant of Venice, Richard III, Melons, The Desert Air and Sus for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works include Measure for Measure, Julius Caesar and The Shoemaker's Holiday.
Away from the camera, he runs his own stonework business, The Stone Works.
