Andrew Paul (born Paul Andrew Herman on 17th March 1961 in Mile End, London) played Newton & Ridley rep Dan Jones in Coronation Street between June and July 2015.
Andrew began acting in his teens and enrolled at the Anna Scher Theatre School when he was 14. His first television work was at the same time in series such as Shades of Greene and 2nd House and other early work was in the films Bugsy Malone, Star Wars and Scum as well as an episode of The Sweeney.
In the 1980s, Andrew worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in television series such as Tripper's Day, Slinger's Day, Going Out and Gentlemen and Players. In 1989 he became a regular on The Bill playing the role of PC Dave Quinnan for the next thirteen years, after which he appeared in Holby City, EastEnders, Lewis, Dracula and another regular role as Billy Boothe in Where the Heart Is from 2003 to 2006.
Other stage roles include parts in Remember Me, Groping for Words, Things We Do for Love, Confusions, Blame, Dry Rot, The Devil at Midnight, Double Death and Infidel.
