Alison George is a Leeds-based actress, singer and musician who appeared on Coronation Street in March 2006 as an unnamed Shop Assistant. She returned to the programme in January 2021 as the crooked Chairperson of a Weatherfield Council planning panel who granted Ray Crosby and Debbie Webster's consortium permission to tear down half of Coronation Street and build a high-rise development in its place.
Having completed training at the University of Nottingham and the Mountview Theatre School, her other TV & film credits include roles in Emmerdale, Rough Around the Edges, Lie with Me and On the Shoulders of Giants, whilst extensive work in theatre include productions of Pride and Prejudice, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Vagina Monologues, Wind in the Willows, The Silk Handkerchief, Dark & Dirty, Oedipus, Twelfth Night, Dick Whittington and Peter Pan.
