Alexandra Afryea appeared on Coronation Street in December 2015 as a Doctor at Weatherfield General who treated Sarah Platt after she was knocked over by Tim Metcalfe in his van. She returned to the role in December 2016, ironically treating Sarah's daughter Bethany who was rushed to hospital having been found lying unconscious after overdosing on diet pills.
She has sometimes been credited as "Claire Spence" and "Claire Spence Edmondson" and also appeared in Doctors, Primeval, Casting Nina, S.N.U.B!, The Magnificent Eleven, The Method of Love, Strangers in a Strange Land and Mum's List.
