Alan Holden appeared on Coronation Street in March and October 1961 as Town Hall clerk Norman Dobson, who along with colleague Phil Braithwaite, was a tenant of the corner shop flat for a short period.
His only other known television credits were for roles in An Age of Kings, Androcles and the Lion and the 1959 TV movie The Three Princes.
On stage, he appeared in Perth Theatre Company productions of Grab Me a Gondola, Major Barbara, Abraham Lincoln, Goodnight Mrs Puffin, Mary Rose, Photo Finish, A Man for All Seasons, Hit the Deck, Dick Whittington and The First Mrs Fraser, along with a UK touring production of Robert and Elizabeth.
