Aaron Sandford was a Webster's Autocentre mechanic and ex-boyfriend of Summer Spellman who raped Amy Barlow in 2023.
Aaron and Summer met at a diabetes support group and supported each other through Summer's battle with bulimia and Aaron's struggles with his abusive father Eric. When Summer fell pregnant, she accepted Mike and Esther Hargrave's offer to adopt the child in exchange for £10,000 to pay for Eric to go into rehab for his alcoholism, but subsequently suffered a miscarriage.
In 2023, Aaron sexually assaulted his flatmate Amy Barlow. Despite Amy being unconscious at the time, Aaron insisted that the sex was consensual, and due to a lack of evidence he was never charged with a crime. Amy took the fight to social media and was sued for libel by Eric, but Aaron dropped the case due to his guilt and left the area.

Aaron and Summer Spellman met at a diabetes support group in April 2022 when Summer had difficulties coming to terms with the lifestyle changes imposed on her when she developed type 1 diabetes. The good-looking and personable lad qualmed her nerves and made her feel better about attending which she had only done under pressure from her guardian Billy Mayhew. Although they got on well during the next few weeks, Aaron was scared away when she told him that she had bulimia, ignoring her texts making her condition worse by his rejection. Soon afterwards, Aaron returned, apologising for running from her as he had also had an eating disorder and they agreed to start over again.
Their relationship developed where, with Billy's blessing, they planned to go on a summer holiday in Barcelona, though Summer was nervous of taking part in water sports lessons in a tight wetsuit due to her semi-malnourished state. Chatting to Kevin Webster one day in the July, Aaron introduced himself as a trained mechanic and correctly diagnosed the fault with a car, leading to Kevin giving him a trial as the garage's new mechanic. He initially did well though blotted his copybook when he assured Kevin that he fixed the faults in Stephen Reid's Jaguar only for the demanding customer's vehicle to break down once it reached Victoria Street.

In February 2023, it was announced viewers were to see a darker side to Aaron. In scenes screened in Episode 10892/3 on 3rd March, after getting drunk with Amy Barlow, Aaron rapes her when she becomes too intoxicated to consent. The programme worked with The Schools Consent Project, a charity which focuses on educating young people about consent, sexual assault and related issues.
