- 1966 - Wally Tanner, Elsie's former father-in-law, turns up after a twenty-year absence.
- 1983 - Mark Redman is born (In later storylines the character's birth was backdated to 1981).
- 1988 - Ida Clough admits to Mike Baldwin that she shopped him to the police for drink-driving.
- 1999 - Fred Elliott woos Audrey Roberts with a lunch but she disappoints him by telling him that she's only interested in friendship.
- 2001 - Duggie Ferguson hires Shelley Unwin to work in the Rovers.
- 2004 - Karl Foster admits his affair with Todd Grimshaw to Katy Harris.
- 2005 - Candice Stowe starts work as an "eye in the sky" traffic reporter for local radio but is sick over the pilot on her first (and only) flight.
