- 1984 - Taxi driver Jack Duckworth is found guilty of drink-driving, fined £200 and banned for a year, thereby making him unemployed.
- 1986 - Kevin Webster marries Sally Seddon.
- 1990 - Design student Angie Freeman starts to lodge at No.7.
- 1993 - Furious at Jenny Bradley's undiplomatic attempt to borrow money from her, Rita Sullivan writes her a cheque for £1,000 and tells her to leave the street.
- 1997 - A crazed Don Brennan attempts to kill Mike Baldwin by driving his car at him but ends up dying in the attempt when he drives straight into the viaduct and the vehicle explodes with Don inside it.
- 2004 - Violet Wilson begins work at the Rovers.
- 2007 - A stunned Cilla Battersby-Brown "inherits" £45,000 from the deceased Frank Nichols after the successful sale of a necklace that he gave her.
- 2008 - Janice Battersby is arrested for fraud after confessing to stealing a lottery win from a syndicate at Underworld.
- 2010 - Jack Duckworth tells Tyrone Dobbs that he has non-Hodgkin lymphoma and has two weeks to live.
- 2012 - Deirdre Barlow finds out about Ken meeting up with his old flame Wendy Papadopoulos (previously Crozier), and demands that he resign from his position as Bessie Street School governor.
- 2014 - Deirdre Barlow is sent by husband Ken to stay with friend Bev Unwin when the stress of recent events begins to take its toll on her.
- 2018 - Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow are married. Later, Leanne Battersby accidentally tells Tracy that she slept with Steve two weeks ago.
