- 1935 - Bert Tilsley born.
- 1950 - Stanley Fairclough born.
- 1964 - Emily Nugent proposes to Leonard Swindley but he refuses and runs away.
- 1977 - The residents realise it was Stan Ogden's fault that the van powering their Silver Jubilee float wouldn't start.
- 1981 - Len and Rita Fairclough decide to adopt a child.
- 1985 - Andy Carver born.
- 1987 - Alec Gilroy moves into the Rovers.
- 1988 - Don Brennan and Ivy Tilsley have stag and hen parties.
- 1992 - Vera Duckworth quits her job at Bettabuy.
- 1994 - Deirdre Barlow announces Denise Osbourne's pregnancy with Ken Barlow's baby to the punters in the Rovers.
- 1997 - Deirdre Rachid moves into 17 Victoria Street.
- 2008 - Steve McDonald is arrested for assault an unlawful imprisonment of Dan Mason. Steve had locked Dan in the Rovers' cellar but didn't know he was injured. Dan is taken to hospital.
- 2015 - Michael Rodwell collapses with a heart problem when he and Eileen Grimshaw start to get frisky with one another.
- 2016 - Todd Grimshaw finds Billy Mayhew's brother Lee lying unconscious. Todd and Billy take him to Weatherfield General.
- 2018 - After appearing on the television programme This Morning, Rosie Webster is offered a job on Japanese television and leaves for six months.

- 2020 - Filming of Coronation Street resumes, having been suspended since 23rd March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with Government guidelines, cast members over 70 or with underlying health conditions do not return.
