Coronation Street history

• 1966 - Sheila Birtles leaves Weatherfield with fiancé Neil Crossley.
• 1983 - Stan and Hilda Ogden's 40th wedding anniversary party is held in the Rovers. Eddie and Marion Yeats leave during the party to get ready for their move to Bury. Len Fairclough is killed when he falls asleep at the wheel on a motorway when returning home from visiting his mistress Marjorie Proctor. The police interrupt the party at the Rovers to inform Len's widow Rita.
• 1988 - Terry Duckworth moves to Bournemouth.
• 2003 - Maria Sutherland stops Nick Tilsley from moving to London by telling him that she is still in love with him.
• 2012 - Kylie Platt admits to David that she is still taking contraceptive pills as she doesn't want a baby although they had been trying for one. Tina McIntyre being a surrogate for Izzy Armstrong and Gary Windass becomes public knowledge when Tommy Duckworth announces it in the Rovers. Leanne Barlow and Nick Tilsley decide to marry in Las Vegas.
• 2014 - David Platt discovers that his wife Kylie is taking speed to deal with the stress of her busy life.
• 2015 - Rob Donovan sends a visiting order to ex-fiancée Tracy Barlow. Although claiming that he misses her, deep down he despises her for having him arrested by the police.
• 2016 - Mary Taylor tells Norris Cole that she was raped when she was fourteen and gave birth to a baby boy.
