- 1964 - Frank Barlow wins £5,000 on the premium bonds.
- 1970 - Stan Ogden buys Irma Barlow a partnership in the corner shop but Irma doesn't want to return there. Dickie Fleming leaves Audrey and the street.
- 1981 - Elsie Tanner is sacked from Jim's Cafe. Ken Barlow and Deirdre Langton become engaged.
- 1985 - The Claytons and the Duckworths fall out over money that they owe each other with Terry and Andrea caught in the middle.
- 1998 - Vera Duckworth cons Jack into coming out his put-on trance by serving him pigeon pie, supposedly made with his own beloved birds.
- 2001 - Alma Halliwell is told that she has terminal cancer.
- 2005 - Cilla Brown starts work at Wong's Chippy.
- 2007 - Paul Connor is horrified to find that an escort he has booked is Leanne Battersby.
