Coronation Street history[]
- 1957 - Stephen Reid, elder half-brother of Gail Potter born.
- 1974 - Ken and Janet Barlow have a huge row when he finds out that she's been planning behind his back to send the twins to boarding school.
- 1998 - Gail Platt finds out that her son Nick Tilsley has secretly married his girlfriend Leanne Battersby.
- 1999 - Tony Horrocks is murdered by Jez Quigley, although his remains lay undiscovered beneath Victoria Street until March 2000.
- 2002 - Richard Hillman "discovers" Duggie Ferguson's dead body while showing his fiancée Gail Platt around The Ridings, Richard having left Duggie lying dead there the day before.
- 2008 - First appearance of Tom Kerrigan, at Liam Connor's stag night.
- 2009 - Tony Gordon confesses to his wife Carla that he hired someone to kill Liam Connor. Distraught, Carla leaves him but doesn't report him to the police.
- 2012 - Owen Armstrong sacks Jason Grimshaw from Owen Armstrong Construction after finding out he was responsible for crashing the van. Frank Foster returns to Underworld after being acquitted of rape, enjoying the fact that he now has to work alongside his victim, Carla Connor.
- 2015 - Roy Cropper scatters Hayley's ashes at North Cross Park, where they had their first kiss.
- 2017 - Sophie Webster returns to Weatherfield after three months away. Her sister Rosie also returns after almost five years. Sophie and Rosie are later arrested on suspicion of importing class-A drugs.
