- 1970 - Maggie and Les Clegg agree on a divorce.
- 1974 - Jim McDonald and Liz Greenwood marry. The McDonalds are first seen in 1989.
- 1977 - With Hilda Ogden ill, her husband Stan takes over her job as cleaner at the Rovers Return, but does such a bad job that Annie Walker refuses to pay Hilda.
- 1981 - Gail Tilsley returns home after having a baby boy, but she and her husband Brian Tilsley can't decide on a name.
- 1987 - Joanne Jackson is born.
- 2001 - Danny Hargreaves proposes to Sally Webster and she accepts. Tyrone Dobbs and Maria Sutherland break off their engagement.
- 2003 - Dev Alahan stands up Tracy Preston. Tracy finds out that Dev slept with her mother Deirdre two years ago.
- 2004 - Paternal grandmother Brenda Fearns kidnaps Bethany Platt. She goes to St. Saviour's Church and plans to jump from the bell tower.
- 2009 - Steve McDonald finds out that his mum Liz has been having a relationship with his business partner Lloyd Mullaney and is suitably horrified.
- 2018 - Pat Phelan shoots Luke Britton then fires the gun at his car's petrol tank, which explodes. Luke is burned to death.
- 2022 - Tim Metcalfe finds out he needs a triple heart bypass.
