Coronation Street history[]
- 1962 - Billy Walker and Philippa Scopes break off their engagement. They both return to London separately.
- 1966 - Jerry Booth is set up with Sheila Birtles, who he hasn't seen since she left Coronation Street in 1963.
- 1967 - Anna Windass born.
- 2001 - Steve McDonald and Karen Phillips get married for a bet.
- 2003 - Dev Alahan proposes to Sunita Parekh but she turns him down flat.
- 2004 - Katy Harris tells boyfriend Martin Platt that she knew Todd Grimshaw was sleeping with Karl Foster. Martin splits up with Katy as Martin's stepdaughter Sarah Platt was seeing Todd.
- 2005 - On her first day as a bus driver, Claire Peacock runs over Chesney Brown's dog Schmeichel.
- 2011 - John and Fiz Stape dump Colin Fishwick's corpse in the canal. After a tip-off from Steve McDonald, a social worker calls at the Rovers to investigate Max Turner's living situation.
- 2017 - Shona Ramsey gets beaten up by two thugs who were hired by Shona's ex-boyfriend Nathan Curtis. Nick Tilsley accidentally gets stuck in quicksand. Denise Osbourne returns after ten years to witness her son Daniel having a breakdown.
- 2022 - Toyah Habeeb crashes her car with husband Imran inside. Imran saves Toyah's life before he suffers a cardiac arrest and dies at the scene.
- 2024 - With Nathan Curtis charged with the murder of Lauren Bolton, the accused Roy Cropper is released from Highfield Prison while the real murderer, Joel Deering, goes unsuspected.

- 1988 - The 1988 ITV Telethon is transmitted in a twenty-seven hour marathon. Coronation Street's contribution is the return of Doris Speed to the studios, five years after her retirement, to collect a cheque for the charity.
