Coronation Street history[]
- 1924 - Hilda Crabtree (later Ogden) is born.
- 1977 - 13 Coronation Street briefly changes its house number to 12a.
- 1983 - Phyllis Pearce finds out that her house in Omdurman Street is going to be demolished. Suzie Birchall gets a job as a barmaid at the Rovers Return Inn.
- 1987 - Sarah Louise Tilsley is born. The father, Brian Tilsley, doesn't think Sarah is his daughter, and doesn't visit his wife Gail at Weatherfield General.
- 1997 - Ken Barlow sleeps with Sue Jeffers, thinking that Deirdre Rachid doesn't want him back.
- 1998 - Rita Sullivan gives Leanne Tilsley a job at The Kabin.
- 2004 - Rita appears in Weatherfield Magistrates Court over hitting Chesney Brown - a minor. She is fined £500 and has to pay compensation. Rita is appalled and is held in contempt of court when she gives the magistrates a piece of her mind. She spends the night in a cell.
- 2007 - Becky Granger and her friend Slug steal Hayley Cropper's car.
- 2012 - Leanne Barlow leaves Weatherfield to stay with Toyah in London, when Peter Barlow rejects her for Carla Connor.
- 2018 - Carla Connor and Daniel Osbourne begin a relationship that quickly becomes the subject of gossip and surprise.

- 1944 - Geoffrey Hughes (Eddie Yeats) is born.
- 1958 - Caroline O'Neill (Andrea Clayton) is born.
- 1971 - The ITV Colour Strike, which affected Coronation Street for almost three months, is called off.
- 1976 - First appearance of Terry Bradshaw.
- 1987 - First appearance of Sarah Louise Tilsley.
- 2000 - First appearance of Diggory Compton.
- 2009 - Final appearance of Jed Stone.
- 2022 - At a Windsor Castle investiture with Princess Anne, Sally Dynevor collects her MBE that was announced in the New Year honours on 31st December 2020.
