- 1961 - Billy Walker leaves Weatherfield for a new job in London.
- 1967 - Hilda Ogden, suffering from depression, goes missing whilst supposedly visiting her cousin.
- 1971 - Ernest Bishop and Emily Nugent become engaged.
- 1972 - A Peeping Tom starts to spy on the women of the street.
- 1982 - Mavis Riley realises her budgie Harry is female when she lays an egg. She renames her pet "Harriet".
- 1991 - Percy Sugden collapses after an asthma attack and is rushed to hospital.
- 1995 - Bill Webster, wanting to make a good impression on daughter-in-law Sally, cooks a meal but ends up setting fire to the kitchen in No.13.
- 1996 - The police are called when Nick Tilsley goes missing.
- 1999 - Natalie Barnes asks drayman Vinny Sorrell to help her with the Rovers' cellar.
- 2002 - Norris Cole is a medal bearer at the Commonwealth Games but everyone misses the ceremony on television.
- 2004 - Cilla Brown sets up Les Battersby into a tryst leaving Janice to dump him once and for all.
- 2012 - Ryan Connor is given a police caution for taking cocaine.
- 2017 - Dev Alahan finishes with Erica Holroyd when he hears about her dalliance with Kevin Webster.
- 2021 - Hope Stape starts a fire at 2a Coronation Street which causes Alina Pop, the only person inside, to lose the baby she and Tyrone Dobbs were expecting.
- 2023 - Sarah Barlow suffers a miscarriage and loses the baby that Damon Hay fathered as a result of their affair. Husband Adam Barlow asks for a divorce.
