- 1966 - Annie Walker and Len Fairclough clash in their first meeting as opposing election candidates.
- 1973 - The women of the street put on a cabaret drag show in the Rovers.
- 1977 - Steve Fisher is taken on at Baldwin's Casuals.
- 1984 - Derek Wilton and Mavis Riley hold an engagement party which Derek's rival Victor Pendlebury gatecrashes.
- 1988 - Terry Duckworth returns to Weatherfield and does a runner from Don Brennan's taxi without paying his fare.
- 1994 - Butcher Fred Elliott tries to bribe the judges to win a black pudding contest held in France.
- 2003 - Tracy Preston agrees not to abort her baby when Roy and Hayley Cropper give her almost £5,000 as a down payment on the unborn child with the promise of more to come.
- 2004 - The Rovers Ravers women's bowls team wins their match when Jack Duckworth disguises himself as "Ida Fagg" and bowls the winning ball. Summer Spellman is born.
- 2005 - Janice Battersby catches nits off Sophie Webster so Sean Tully shaves her head to get rid of the problem.
- 2016 - Maria Connor is assaulted at her flat in a robbery orchestrated by Caz Hammond.
- 2018 - Simon Barlow is given a referral order in court for his part in the attack on Flora McArdle by Tyler Jefferies.
Real world[]
- 1970 - For one of only two times in its history the original outdoor set used for Coronation Street on Grape Street was opened to the general public to raise funds for charity. 50,000 people toured the set in three days.
- 1977 - First appearance of Steve Fisher.
- 1984 - Transmission of tonight's episode was delayed for a tribute to Bernard Youens who had died two days previously.
- 1992 - Teddy Turner (Chalkie Whitely) died.
- 2010 - First appearance of Max Turner.
