- 1961 - Ena Sharples walks out of her job at the Mission of Glad Tidings when Leonard Swindley warns her about frequenting the Rovers Return Inn.
- 1967 - Irma Barlow suffers a miscarriage.
- 1968 - When Maggie Clegg refuses to give her blessing to her son Gordon marrying Lucille Hewitt, Gordon suggests to Lucille that they should run away and get married.
- 1998 - Des Barnes's funeral takes place.
- 2005 - Nathan Cooper accidentally punches Ashley Peacock in the eye. In hospital, Ashley finds out that he has a detached retina and may lose his sight in the eye.
