Coronation Street history[]
- 1914 - After the outbreak of the war, Cedric and Lottie Thwaite are attacked by their neighbours because Lottie is German.
- 1971 - Widower Ken Barlow agrees to Peter and Susan Barlow being brought up in Glasgow by their grandparents.
- 1976 - No.5 is put up for sale by the landlord, alarming Albert Tatlock and Ena Sharples who don't know what's happening to Minnie Caldwell who has been staying with Handel Gartside in Whaley Bridge for several months.
- 1989 - Curly Watts begins work at Bettabuy supermarket where he meets manager Reg Holdsworth and smitten shop assistant Kimberley Taylor.
- 1999 - Tyrone Dobbs befriends a stray greyhound - Monica.
- 2001 - Jimmy Sykes, believing that Mike Baldwin killed his sister Linda, sets fire to his office in Underworld and attacks Janice Battersby who walks in on him. Dennis Stringer saves her and the two end up in bed after realising that their passion for each other is mutual.
- 2002 - Sarah Platt comes out of her coma, several days after her car accident caused by Aidan Critchley.
- 2004 - Dev and Sunita Alahan's wedding is interrupted by the police who arrest him for being an illegal immigrant and her for bigamy. The two have been set up by Dev's jilted fiancée Maya Sharma.
- 2010 - David Platt attends his court hearing for the attempted murder of Graeme Proctor. He is granted bail until the case can go to trial.
- 2019 - Sinead Osbourne dies of cervical cancer.
