- 1966 - Jack and Annie Walker return from several weeks stay in Ireland to find the Rovers completely reorganised under Brenda Riley's managership.
- 1973 - Elsie Howard and Norma Ford call in the health inspectors after they find that Stan Ogden has let No.13 become infested with vermin in Hilda's absence.
- 1983 - Suzie Birchall's abusive husband, Terry Goodwin, follows her from up from London.
- 1988 - Audrey Roberts returns from Canada and tells Gail Tilsley all about Stephen Reid - the brother she never knew she had.
- 1990 - Curly Watts finds out that Reg Holdsworth has been sleeping in the Bettabuy stockroom as his wife has thrown him out.
