- 1906 - Samuel Hewitt marries Gertie Pegg, the younger sister of his dead wife Dolly. Gertie has been a comfort to him following the deaths of his wife and two children.
- 1960 - Tricia Marsden (later Armstrong) is born.
- 1961 - The Barlows consider buying their own house when the landlord offers the tenants the opportunity.
- 1971 - The street residents hold a protest meeting against the building of the Mark Brittain Warehouse.
- 1978 - Renee Bradshaw accepts Alf Roberts's proposal of marriage.
- 1984 - Fred Gee is appointed temporary manager of the Rovers, much to the annoyance of Bet Lynch and Betty Turpin.
- 1989 - Alec Gilroy leaves on a tour of the Middle East as entertainment's manager, returning on 26th April.
- 1991 - Reg Holdsworth's wife, Veronica, arrives from New Zealand believing him to be having an affair with Rita Fairclough.
- 1993 - Ted Sullivan's family contest his will in court.
- 1995 - Steph Britton is born.
- 1999 - Rosie Webster has an accident at school and is taken to Weatherfield General.
- 2006 - Janice and Leanne Battersby are involved in a car crash.
- 2008 - Dylan Wilson is born.
- 2010 - Joe McIntyre's body is found in Lake Windermere and identified by wife Gail and daughter Tina, who had not previously known he was dead.
- 2013 - Gail McIntyre learns that son Nick Tilsley is the man daughter-in-law Kylie Platt slept with at Christmas.
