1st January - Gary Windass is formally charged with assaulting Adam Barlow. He offers no defence, to protect his sister Faye who he knows is the real culprit.
8th January - Johnny Connor is given an eight-month custodial sentence for a historic aggravated burglary charge.
27th January - Alcoholic Peter Barlow is remorseful after punching his father Ken on the 50th anniversary of his mother, Val's death, after he takes his drink off him.
22nd March - After she pushes him to get married, Tyrone admits to Fiz that he's fallen in love with Alina. They decide to try and rebuild their relationship.
7th May - Seb dies as a result of his brain injury sustained in the attack while Nina regains consciousness.
26th July - James and Michael are stopped in Victoria Street by PC Brody while test driving a sports car. Brody alleges that they were driving erratically however James denies this and later lodges a formal complaint that the officer racially profiled them.
2nd August - Hope Stape starts a fire at 2a Coronation Street which causes Alina Pop, the only person inside, to lose the baby she and Tyrone Dobbs were expecting.
30th August - Nina Lucas regains her memories of the night she and Seb Franklin were brutally assaulted by Corey Brent, Kelly Neelan, Eli Higginson and Jay Dowling, an attack in which Seb lost his life. Her memories reveal that Corey was the aggressor in Seb's beating, and Kelly tried to pull him off.
10th September - An innocent Kelly Neelan is found guilty of the murder of Seb Franklin while the true culprit, Corey Brent, is set free by the jury.
13th October - Imran and Toyah foster Elsie. Just before the girl arrives, Imran confesses to Toyah that he had a one-night-stand, but omits that it was with Abi.
15th October - Following revelations by Imran, Toyah reports solicitor Sabeen Habeeb for using blackmail to obtain evidence, causing Sabeen to be investigated by the bar standards board. Harvey Gaskell, whose appeal she was working on, swears vengeance against Toyah.
6th December - Grace Vickers signs a legal agreement giving custody of her daughter Glory Bailey to the child's father Michael Bailey and leaves Weatherfield. Max Turner publicly accuses teacher Daniel Osbourne of having an affair with pupil Summer Spellman, though Daniel is innocent of the charge.
10th December - Hashim Elamin suffers a fatal heart attack while arguing with Zeedan and Alya Nazir at 6 Coronation Street. The Nazirs use his death to blame Hashim for starting a fire at Speed Daal.
20th December - Steve McDonald reports Curtis Delamere to the police for stealing Oliver Battersby's charity fund of £100,000. The police interrupt Curtis's wedding to Emma Brooker to take him in for questioning. Although he is innocent of the theft, Curtis's previous lies relating to his factitious disorder lead Emma to presume his guilt and finish with him.
