- 1962 - Ken Barlow makes a last-minute decision not to quit his teaching job at Bessie Street School.
- 1979 - Suzie Birchall loses her job at Baldwin's Casuals and leaves Weatherfield for London.
- 1984 - Bet Lynch learns that Newton & Ridley are looking to appoint a manager for the Rovers as opposed to a licensee and decides to apply.
- 1997 - Judy Mallett has sex with her boss Paul Fisher in exchange for a £2,000 advance on her wages.
- 2004 - Martin Platt, Fred Elliott and Tyrone Dobbs all get the impression that Ashley Peacock has asked them to be his best man.
- 2005 - Audrey Roberts and Keith Appleyard find out that Rosie Webster and Craig Harris have been having underage sex. Audrey voices her disapproval but agrees not to tell Sally Webster.
- 2008 - Peter Barlow arrives late (and drunk) to see his son Simon in a school nativity play. He makes a scene when a teacher tries to refuse him admittance because of his drunkenness. Ashamed, Ken Barlow refuses to let Peter take Simon back home with him.
- 2011 - Tracy Barlow falls down the stairs of 15a Victoria Street after confronting Becky McDonald when she suspects her of having an affair with Steve.
- 2014 - Rob Donovan is sentenced to twenty-five years in jail for the murder of Tina McIntyre.
