- 1976 - Len Fairclough and Eddie Yeats help Ena Sharples entrap conman Frank Holmes.
- 1993 - Brendan Scott reopens the corner shop as an old-fashioned grocers renamed "Scott's Provisions". An unamused Deirdre Barlow is forced to wear a mob cap and frilly apron behind the counter.
- 1997 - Driven to despair by the Battersbys' loud music, Curly Watts forces his way into No.5 and throws the sound system out of the window, earning a headbutt from Les for his actions.
- 1999 - Gail Platt gives Leanne Tilsley £2,000 as the price for divorcing from her son, Nick.
- 2000 - Vera Duckworth and Norris Cole win a ballroom dancing competition on their holiday in Blackpool.
