- 1955 - Michael Rodwell born.
- 1961 - Ida Barlow's funeral takes place.
- 1967 - The inquest on Harry Hewitt brings in a verdict of accidental death. Concepta returns to Ireland and Lucille accompanies her back there.
- 1971 - Elsie Howard learns that husband Alan and Janet Reid have been together in Leeds.
- 1972 - Ena Sharples's missing grandson Jason Lomax is found alive and well.
- 1976 - Sean Tully born.
- 1978 - Ray Langton begins an affair with Dawson's Cafe waitress Janice Stubbs.
- 1981 - Zoe Tattersall born.
- 1993 - Tanya Pooley starts work as the new Rovers barmaid. Maureen Naylor calls off her wedding to Reg Holdsworth, feeling that she can't trust him.
- 1998 - Alma Baldwin realises that Curly Watts has been set up on an extortion charge by Anne Malone. Unable to prove his innocence he disappears.
- 2000 - Harvey Reuben begins to manage Underworld while Mike and Linda Baldwin are on honeymoon.
- 2003 - Neil Fearns, the teenage father of Bethany Platt, is killed in a car crash.
- 2004 - Ciaran McCarthy opens his restaurant for business. As part of her revenge against Dev Alahan for breaking their engagement, Maya Sharma agrees to represent Leanne Battersby in an unfair dismissal claim.
- 2006 - Suffering postnatal depression, Claire Peacock pushes baby Freddie's pram into the path of an oncoming car.
- 2010 - Claire Peacock hands in her notice at Street Cars. Gary Windass assaults a thug outside the Rovers, possibly jeopardising his army career. Kylie Turner is granted custody of her son Max at a court hearing.
- 2013 - Dev Alahan confronts Karl Munro in the Rovers about the fire and is knocked out. Stella Price arrives looking for Karl and finds Dev. Karl, forced into a corner, confesses starting the fire and killing Sunita Alahan in hospital. Stella eventually persuades Karl to hand himself into the police.
