- 1964 - An excited Martha Longhurst is invited by her family to accompany them on a holiday to Spain, her first-ever trip abroad.
- 1966 - To Len Fairclough's horror, Jerry Booth moves a homeless Ena Sharples in as their resident housekeeper.
- 1970 - Ray Langton and Bernard Butler fight in the Rovers over Ray's affair with Audrey Fleming while all the time he was engaged to Bernard's sister Sandra.
- 1977 - Elsie Howard is dumped by Ted Brownlow when he hears that she has been married three times already.
- 1981 - Fred Gee has his stag night in the Rovers with a stripper organised by Eddie Yeats.
- 1987 - Deirdre Barlow defeats Alf Roberts in a council election.
- 1988 - Percy Sugden barricades himself in his Community Centre flat to avoid being evicted by the council.
- 1990 - Ivy Brennan is horrified when Gail Tilsley tells her that she is pregnant with Martin Platt's baby.
- 2005 - Kevin Webster and Ian Davenport fight over Ian's affair with Sally.
- 2007 - Deirdre Barlow and Denise Osbourne have a ruckus in the Rovers over Denise seeing Ken Barlow.
- 2009 - Tara Mandal unveils a huge nude photograph of Dev Alahan in revenge for his fling with Lisa Dalton.
- 2012 - Lesley Kershaw is electrocuted when she puts a toaster in the sink while alone at No.11. She is killed instantly. Terry Duckworth absconds with £9,000 that Tommy Duckworth gave him to pay off loan shark Rick Neelan, who he believes to have assaulted Tina McIntyre to get him to pay up. In hospital, Tina wakes up and tells Tommy that it was actually Terry who assaulted her. Rick tells Tommy that the debt is now his to pay.
- 2015 - Tony Stewart cons an unwitting Steve McDonald into selling his half of the Rovers to him.
- 2018 - In Highfield Prison, David Platt is introduced to his new cellmate, Paul Foreman.
- 2020 - Oliver Battersby is diagnosed with an incurable form of mitochondrial disease.
