Coronation Street history[]
- 1962 - Depressed Christine Hardman climbs onto the roof of Elliston's Raincoat Factory intending to jump off but is talked down by Ken Barlow.
- 1965 - Stephanie Jones (later Barnes) is born.
- 1973 - The Kabin opens its doors for the first time. Rita Littlewood interviews Mavis Riley for the position of assistant and offers her the job.
- 1986 - Tracy Langton's surname is changed to "Barlow", with Ken Barlow having legally adopted her.
- 2004 - Bev Unwin admits her tryst with Charlie Stubbs to her daughter Shelley, who is currently dating Charlie.
- 2006 - Ronnie Clayton admits to committing a hit-and-run. Kelly Crabtree tells the police she was in bed with Steve McDonald, her boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney's business partner, when the felony occurred. Steve is released from the police station without charge, although he and Lloyd fall out and Lloyd dumps Kelly.
- 2007 - David Platt sets fire to his exam paper in school. He refuses to sign a behavioural contract that will allow him to sit the rest of his exams.
- 2008 - Steve McDonald and Becky Granger have a drunken one-night stand.
- 2012 - Simon Barlow is hospitalised after drinking from a bottle of wine he finds stashed in the utility cupboard at 9a Rosamund Street.
Real world[]
- 1977 - Doris Speed is awarded the MBE in the Queen's Birthday honours. She collected the award at an investiture at Buckingham Palace on 29th November.
- 1984 - First appearance of Debbie Webster.
- 2006 - Final appearance of Ronnie Clayton.
- 2010 - Jaxon and Maddox Beswick (the first set of twins to portray Jack Webster) are born.
